Our Story

In late 2021, the Sensenig family gathered in the warm farmhouse kitchen to discuss a generational transition of the family farm, which had been in operation for 33 years. The following spring, the result was a partnership between the oldest and youngest sons of the family, Joel and Darren, under the farm name Morning View Acres, continuing a family legacy in agriculture.

Born and raised on the very acres the farm occupies today, the brothers grew up involved in the daily chores from a young age. Initially operating as a dairy where calves were to be fed and cows milked, the farm evolved and transitioned to cash cropping, custom farm work, and a flock of chickens for egg production. Today, Morning View Acres continues to strive to produce and provide responsibly managed agricultural products and services that benefit the consumer and producer.

As Beginning Farmers, Joel and Darren looked for new avenues to offer their farm products to customers. With memories of sweltering summer days spent stacking straw bales in the barn, they opted for something more manageable and smaller, the miniBALE. The entire production process is completed with their hands in the works, from planting the wheat to harvesting the straw, processing the bales, and final delivery. The miniBale by Morning View Acres is an All-American Family Farm product that is the right size, right from our farm.
